Apprentice – Heavy Equipment Mechanic Opportunities
Applications are now open for motivated individuals interested in becoming Heavy Equipment Mechanic Apprentices. Preference is given to permanent team members, followed by external applicants. Key Requirements for Applicants
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 with Mathematics (Core), Physical Science, and Engineering Graphics & Design (EGD).
- Technical Skills: Pass a Technical Assessment covering Numeracy and Literacy.
- Physical Fitness: Good health required due to strenuous job nature; medical examination mandatory.
- Driver’s License: Valid Code EB (08) driver’s license required.
- Location: Reside within 50km of the Bell Customer Service Centre.
Preferred Qualifications and Advantages
Applicants with the following will have added advantages:
- Grade 12 in Mechanical Technology.
- N2 Certificate in Diesel or Motor Trade Theory.
- National Vocational Certificate (NCV) L4 ERD in Automotive with seven subjects.
- Hands-on experience in the engineering industry.
- Competent in basic hand skills training.
- Possession of a valid passport.
