The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) invites young, driven South African graduates to apply for a rewarding 24-month communications internship based at their head office in Braamfontein, Gauteng. This is your chance to develop real-world experience while contributing to impactful work.
Internship Overview and Monthly Stipend
This two-year internship offers a monthly stipend of R6,500.00, supporting your journey as you gain essential skills in a dynamic communications environment. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to daily operations, content creation, media relations, and public communication efforts.
Location and Duration
- Placement: CGE Head Office, Braamfontein, Gauteng
- Duration: 24 months
- Start Date: Upon successful application and agreement
- Transport: Interns must arrange their own transport to the office
Who Can Apply?
CGE is committed to empowering youth and promoting fair representation. This opportunity is open to:
- South African citizens aged 18 – 35
- Unemployed graduates with no prior work experience
- Residents of Gauteng province only
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Journalism or Communications
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong computer literacy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid editing and content creation abilities
Applicants must also be enthusiastic, self-driven, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
