The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) invites young, driven South African graduates to apply for a rewarding 24-month communications internship based at their head office in Braamfontein, Gauteng. Internship Overview and Monthly Stipend

This two-year internship offers a monthly stipend of R6,500.00, supporting your journey as you gain essential skills in a dynamic communications environment. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to daily operations, content creation, media relations, and public communication efforts.

Location and Duration

  • Placement: CGE Head Office, Braamfontein, Gauteng
  • Duration: 24 months
  • Start Date: Upon successful application and agreement
  • Transport: Interns must arrange their own transport to the office

Who Can Apply?

CGE is committed to empowering youth and promoting fair representation. This opportunity is open to:

  • South African citizens aged 18 – 35
  • Unemployed graduates with no prior work experience
  • Residents of Gauteng province only

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Journalism or Communications
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong computer literacy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid editing and content creation abilities

Applicants must also be enthusiastic, self-driven, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
