Introduction
The Limpopo Provincial Government has announced 154 traffic officer learnership opportunities for 2025. These learnerships fall under the Department of Transport and Community Safety. The program will run for 12 months and aims to empower South African youth with career skills.

Available Positions
A total of 154 learner traffic officer posts are available across the five districts of Limpopo:
- Capricorn: 31 positions
- Sekhukhune: 33 positions
- Mopani: 32 positions
- Vhembe: 31 positions
- Waterberg: 27 positions
Stipend Offered
Each learner will receive an annual stipend of R67,675.56 during the program.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Age between 18 and 35 years.
- Valid Code B manual driving license.
- No criminal record.
- No visible tattoos that compromise professional conduct.
- A valid medical certificate proving fitness for strenuous activity.
- Must not be declared unfit to carry a firearm under the Firearm Control Act, 2000.
- Prepared to work 24/7 shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Must pass driving and competency tests.
- Proof of South African citizenship (valid ID).
Required Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must demonstrate the following:
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle confidently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
