What Is the DHL Learnership Programme?
The DHL Learnership is a 12-month program that combines theoretical training and hands-on experience. Successful candidates will enroll in the Clearing and Forwarding Agent NQF 5 qualification. This program enhances both job readiness and long-term career prospects.
Learnership Locations Available
The programme is available in the following South African cities:
- Durban
- Cape Town
- Port Elizabeth
You will be placed according to your preferred or nearest location.
Core Responsibilities of a Learner
As a DHL learner, you will work under direct supervision and perform essential operational tasks:
- Assist with import and export documentation
- Reconcile and process logistics paperwork
- Maintain and support operational systems
- Execute administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and reporting
- Follow standard procedures and delivery methods
- Collaborate within your assigned team
- Communicate clearly with colleagues
- Report issues professionally to maintain strong relationships
Minimum Requirements to Apply
If you meet the following criteria, this opportunity could be yours:
- South African citizen aged 18 to 30 years
- Unemployed and not studying currently
- Grade 12/Matric with at least 65% in English
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office proficiency is a bonus)
- You must meet the standards outlined in DHL’s Employment Equity Policy
