Program Details – Who Can Apply
The Metacom Foundation program is designed for young South African women of colour between the ages of 18 and 27. To qualify, applicants must:
- Be South African citizens.
- Be enrolled for a bachelor’s degree in ICT or related fields such as Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Be registered at one of these universities:
- University of Cape Town (UCT)
- University of the Western Cape (UWC)
- Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)
- Stellenbosch University
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Show academic potential and ambition.
Application Process – Step by Step
Interested applicants complete an online application form and provide proof of enrolment and financial need. Shortlisted candidates attend an interview. Successful candidates receive full academic funding, mentorship, and ongoing emotional and well-being support until graduation.
