These 12-month, hands-on training opportunities are designed to empower young people with skills that lead to sustainable careers.

Learnership Opportunities Available in 2025
A total of 75 accredited learnership positions are available across four fields:
Electrical Engineering Learnership – Ref 01
- Seats: 15
- NQF Level: 2
- Minimum Entry: Grade 10 with Mathematics
Water & Wastewater Treatment Learnership – Ref 02
- Seats: 15
- NQF Level: 2
- Minimum Entry: Grade 12
Water & Wastewater Reticulation Learnership – Ref 03
- Seats: 15
- NQF Level: 2
- Minimum Entry: Grade 12
Landscape Maintenance Learnership – Ref 04
- Seats: 30
- NQF Level: 3
- Minimum Entry: Grade 12
Each programme includes both theoretical and practical training, preparing participants for real-world roles in infrastructure, environment, and municipal services.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be between 18 and 45 years old
- Be unemployed and not previously enrolled in a learnership or ARPL
- Be a resident of Polokwane Municipality
- Be willing to undergo security vetting

- A signed cover letter with the reference number and programme
- A detailed and updated CV
- A certified copy of your South African ID
- Certified copies of academic qualifications
- Proof of residence, stamped by a traditional authority or municipal office
