Key Responsibilities: What You’ll Be Doing
As a Cash Processor Learnership participant, you will be trained and exposed to various key operational areas including:
1. Receiving and Preparing Cash
- Receive and log customer deposits accurately.
- Ensure bags and containers are undamaged and follow all verification procedures.
- Prep workstation efficiently for note sorting and cash processing.
2. Note Sorting and Processing
- Sort and process currency deposits according to the bank’s Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Identify and report discrepancies to the Team Controller.
- Reject counterfeit or damaged notes and prepare for reconciliation.
- Complete daily balance sheets and ensure proper recording.
3. Reconciliation & End-of-Day Processes
- Conduct accurate end-of-day cash reconciliation.
- Manage note differences, shortages, or surpluses according to company SOPs.
- Assist with desktop and bulk deposit processing.
4. Coin Processing
- Process and sort bulk coin deposits.
- Operate coin-counting machines, report issues, and balance per client.
5. Payroll and Bank Integration
- Process payroll and change transactions on time.
- Ensure accurate linking of account numbers and report errors.
- Escalate delays or discrepancies promptly.
6. Prepacking & Treasury Support
- Assist in packing and unpacking bank and ATM cash accurately.
- Monitor and manage consumables and confirm seal numbers are properly logged.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this exciting YES Learnership opportunity in Nelspruit, applicants must meet the following:
- Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics Literacy

- Unemployed and not studying full-time
- Basic understanding or experience in cashier/teller roles is advantageous
- Must have successfully completed or be willing to complete SBV Cash Processor Training
