Seriti is inviting applications for the Community Scholarship Scheme 2026, aimed at supporting high-performing and financially deserving students from the Klipspruit New Largo local community. The scholarship supports students pursuing full-time tertiary studies at a recognised South African University or University of Technology.


About the Seriti Community Scholarship

The Seriti Community Scholarship Scheme focuses on empowering youth from its host communities by funding higher education across any accredited field of study. The programme is open to both Grade 12 learners entering university in 2026 and current university students already registered at a recognised Higher Education and Training Institution (HET).


Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to:

  • Current Grade 12 learners provisionally accepted for 2026
  • University students studying toward a Degree or Diploma
  • Students enrolled in NQF Level 6 and above programmes
  • Applicants from the Klipspruit New Largo local community

Bridging and foundation programmes are not funded

Selection is based on:

  • Academic excellence
  • Previous academic results
  • Financial need

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be studying full-time
  • Have recent academic results
  • Not be receiving funding from another bursary or sponsorship programme

Required Documents

All applications must include certified copies (within the last 3 months) of the following documents:

  • Updated CV (PDF format)
  • South African ID document
  • Latest Grade 12 report / Matric Certificate / Academic record
  • Letter of provisional acceptance or proof of 2026 registration
  • Proof of residence, such as:
    • Municipal water and lights account, or
    • Letter from a Councillor or Traditional Authority

Incomplete applications will not be considered.


What the Scholarship Covers

The Seriti Community Scholarship provides funding for:

  • Tuition fees for 2026
  • Accommodation and meals
  • Monthly pocket money
  • Book allowance
  • Once-off laptop allowance

Outstanding fees, interest, and failed subjects from previous years are excluded.


Terms and Conditions

  • Students must pass all registered subjects
  • Failed modules will not be funded
  • No obligation for employment, internship, or vacation work
  • No work-back agreement after graduation
  • Preference given to local community applicants
  • Foundation and bridging year students are not eligible
  • Applicants funded by another sponsor may not apply
