Appointed EPWP officers will be deployed to secure physical infrastructure, municipal buildings, and logistical assets:

  • Critical Infrastructure Protection: Safeguarding and physical securing of structural, mechanical, and electrical assets at municipal pump stations, regional reservoirs, sewerage pumps, dams, and local revenue collection centres.
  • Access Control & Verification: Securing and monitoring points of entry and departure; managing the movement of personnel, visitors, public members, and public delegations in and out of municipal buildings.
  • Vehicle & Cargo Screening: Performing physical searches on incoming and departing vehicles at designated access gates.
  • Inventory & Register Logging: Accurately recording incoming and outgoing tools, machinery, and assets within the official inventory control book.
  • Occurrence Book Management: Maintaining, updating, and documenting routine activities or operational safety incidents inside the branch Occurrence Book (OB).
  • Queue Control & Public Direction: Communicating respectfully with the public to ensure proper queuing structures or guiding visitors to correct municipal offices.
