Minimum Entry Requirements

To look like a viable candidate to the government screening panel, you must fulfill these minimum criteria:

Education: Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.
Professional Registration: Active and valid PSIRA Grade C Security Certificate.
Experience: A minimum of twelve (12) months of verifiable security experience.
Language & Literacy: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with baseline computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will manage the security footprint of the Labour Centre and Provincial Office by:

Controlling administrative access in and out of the public premises and vehicles.
Securing the internal flow of sensitive state information and physical assets.
Conducting routine security patrols of the building and perimeter grounds.
Enforcing departmental policies, executing evacuation procedures, and conducting baseline internal security investigations.

Required Knowledge & Frameworks

Applicants will be tested on their familiarity with standard public service acts, including:

Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act.
Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS).
Batho Pele Principles (Service delivery standards).
Public Service Regulations Act and Departmental Policies.
