The Role: A Leader in Mine Security
Are you a highly experienced Site Agent with a passion for the security industry? SERVEST SECURITY AND TECHNOLOGY, a leading business unit of Servest, is looking for a qualified professional to manage our security operations in the mining sector in Secunda.
You will be the key liaison between our company and our clients, ensuring all contractual requirements are met and services are consistently high quality. This role requires a strong leader who can manage security staff, conduct risk assessments, and handle operational issues with precision and expertise.

Key Responsibilities
- Client Management: Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients by delivering exceptional security services and regularly evaluating service levels.
- Operational Management: Ensure all security personnel on-site meet contractual requirements. Proactively plan and manage various sites and clients.
- Staff Leadership: Provide daily supervision and management to security staff, ensuring performance levels are met and addressing all HR-related issues, including disciplinary actions.
- Reporting & Investigation: Prepare and submit timeous weekly and monthly reports to clients and Head Office. Investigate all security incidents and report findings.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
- PSIRA Grade A/B registration is mandatory.
- Valid driver’s license with your own reliable transport.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the mining security sector.
- Working knowledge of the Firearm Act and firearm competency for business purposes.
- Experience with Health and Safety protocols.
- Proven staff management and leadership skills.
- Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite).
- Excellent planning, administration, and communication skills.
- A great understanding of Security Management statutory requirements and industry dynamics.
- No criminal record or any pending cases.
- Must be medically fit.
