Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizen with Grade 12, Matric, or N2 qualification (Engineering-related)
- Own reliable transport
- Clear criminal record
- Basic computer skills in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems
- Ability to identify and diagnose faults in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment
Key Responsibilities
Selected apprentices will:
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Perform inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
- Repair jigs, trolleys, tools, and basic production equipment
- Conduct weekly cleaning and basic machine care
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and participate in standby duties
- Maintain company buildings and vehicles including forklifts
- Record and report equipment failures
- Follow all safety procedures and Lockout/Tagout protocols
- Fulfill GMR 2.1 responsibilities as required
